Holistic Dental Centers - Cary

Holistic Dental Centers is a biological dental practice founded by Dr. Carl McMillan, DMD, ND, with offices in Cary and Cornelius, North Carolina. The practice is devoted to whole-body wellness. Every patient is treated as more than a set of teeth, with nutrition, lifestyle, and overall health considered in every treatment plan, and new patients begin with a comprehensive exam and an in-depth conversation about their health history.

Dr. McMillan earned his dental degree from the Medical University of South Carolina's College of Dental Medicine in 1989 and has practiced holistic dentistry for more than two decades. He is a charter member of the International Academy of Mercury Free Dentists and a past president of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT). Dr. Luis Crespo, DDS, an IAOMT member who trained at West Virginia University and practices in both English and Spanish, leads the practice's pediatric and family care.

The practice is mercury-free and fluoride-free, follows the Huggins protocol for safe amalgam removal, offers outside laboratory biocompatibility testing, and places zirconia (ceramic) implants. Both offices use ultra-low-dose 3D cone beam imaging. Early orthodontic care with Myobrace and HealthyStart, Invisalign, platelet-rich fibrin, ozone therapy, laser dentistry, and oral conscious sedation are also available.
