Rooted Dental Wellness & Untethered: Oral Myofunctional Therapy Center

Rooted Dental Wellness is a functional, biological, and airway-centric dental practice in Grover Beach, California, founded by Dr. Estevan Tinoco, DDS and Ashley Beels, MA, RDH, OMT. The team is traditionally trained but holistically minded. They treat the mouth as an organ connected to the rest of the body, and they focus on finding the root cause of a problem instead of chasing symptoms one tooth at a time.

Dr. Tinoco earned his doctorate in dental surgery from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2016 and has continued his training in airway-centric, holistic, and biocompatible dentistry. He is currently researching sleep-disordered breathing through the PRIMED program with Stanford Medical and the University of the Pacific. The practice is also home to Untethered, an oral myofunctional therapy center for tongue-tie, airway, and sleep concerns. Care is offered in English and Spanish, with eco-friendly systems throughout the office.
